What is Off Book?
Off Book is an amalgamation of research and experience, compiled to unpack and platform the experiences of women in the theatre industry.
The aims
This project is a platform for theatrical change, providing a space where the hidden biases and underrepresented experiences attaining to gender, as well as subsequent wellbeing-related experiences, can be addressed. Off Book is a project made to provoke discussion beyond the realms of social media and pre-existing publications, with the end goal of sociopolitical developments in the theatre environment.
Research Collection
Research for this project has been collected via a variety of informal interviews, as well as distributed forms that allow for anonymous submission. Sensitive information has been kept privately stored and will remain inaccessible to the wider public.
Participants of this project have contributed with the promise of anonymity if requested, and are able to remove their contributions from the work at any point, including beyond publication. Nothing has been published in the public domain without the final consent of those involved.
